KILL TEAM "OPEN" Matched Play Tournament at Grognard Games & Hobbies Roselle 

Calling all Kill Team commanders! Grognard Games & Hobbies Roselle is excited to host a Kill Team "OPEN" Matched Play Tournament on Aug 22nd, 2026.

• Matched Play: Test your tactics and skills in a competitive, 4-round format.

• Variety of Missions: Expect a mix of exciting missions from the Kill Team: Approved Ops deck.

Event Details:

• Dates: Aug 22nd, 2026

• Time: 11:00 AM Start

• Location: Grognard Games & Hobbies Roselle (839 N Roselle Rd, Roselle, IL 60172)

• Kill Team Selection: Any Classified or Unclassified Kill Team (See: https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/downloads/kill-team/)

• Registration Fee: $20 (Online at GrognardGames.com)

• Registration Limit: 24 Players (May increase based on interest)

Event Format:

• Single-day event on Aug 22nd, starting at 11:00 AM

• Four rounds of Swiss-style pairings.

• Best Coast Pairings (BCP) app used for pairings if attendance exceeds nine players.

Game Play:

• Players have two hours to complete each mission.

• Killzones will be set up using the Volkus Tombworld, Gallowdark, WTC terrain and Bheta Decima Killzones.

• All Balance Dataslates and Errata released before May 9th, 2026, will be in effect.

• Matches will follow the Matched Play Mission Sequence from the Kill Team: Approved Ops Card Pack.

Tiebreakers:

• Total points scored.

• Strength of Schedule.

• Random die roll (if necessary).

Registration and Waitlist:

• Registration is limited to 24 players.

• A waitlist will be created if the event reaches capacity.

• Players who drop out will be replaced by those on the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours prior to the event are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event will be issued store credit only. Participants who do not cancel and fail to attend (no-call/no-show) will forfeit their event entry fee.
