Theme
The Schism of Mars was a critical conflict between two factions of the Adeptus Mechanicus on Mars. As Horus Lupercal began his rebellion against the Emperor, the Mechanicum became divided. This led to a brutal civil war on Mars, with devastating battles over forges, resources, and ancient technologies. The conflict severely crippled Mars and further fueled the larger galactic war.
Army Composition
2500 pt limit, following the normal army construction rules with the following changes:
Primarchs will not be allowed.
Dreadnought type models will be limited to 0-3 per army.
The points cap on superheavies/lords of war will be raised to 40% (1,000 points).
Each player may take up to two units from the Liber Mechanicum army lists as part of their Primary Detachment. This can be done regardless of faction, but still takes up a force org slot as normal.
Event Special Rules
Due to the fierce electrical signal interference above Mars, the following special rules are in effect.
No model in a unit that is deep striking may be placed further than 5” from the furthest model in its unit while deep striking. If the unit is too large to meet this restriction, models outside of this range must be placed in base contact with another model from this unit in the 5” range.
All “Interceptor” reactions must be taken as snapshots.
Each individual unit can only use a reaction ONCE per turn, instead of once per phase.
