Kill Team League: Operation Proving Grounds
The Road to the Kill Team Open
This Paired League is designed with two goals in mind: to build a welcoming community for beginners and to provide a rigorous testing ground for players preparing for the Kill Team OPEN GT in May!
League Details
Start Date: February 27th, 2026
Duration: 8 games over 9 weeks
Entry Fee: $25 (Or purchase a brand new Kill Team box and have your entry fee waived!)
Location: All Grognard Games Locations
Pairings: Posted every Monday based on your current Win/Loss record (Swiss format).
Flexible Scheduling: Once paired, you and your opponent have one week to meet up at the store and play your match.
Reporting: Report your scores on BCP, deadline 7 days after round pairings. Reach out to the organizer (@mufassajhns) on discord, or post in the league channel with any questions or concerns.
League Rules
Format: OPEN (Classified & Unclassified Teams allowed).
Team Selection: You are NOT locked to one team. You may switch teams week-to-week to test different strategies.
Approved Ops: This league uses Approved Ops 2026. Each week, a Crit Op will be assigned along with pairings.
Killzones: All killzones and map layouts are permitted, the choice is yours! All Grognard Games locations have a Killzone Volkus set available for league players.
Prizes & Awards
Prizes will be awarded for:
Top General: Best Record.
Top General Runner-Up
Hobby Hero: Best Painted Team. (voted on by league players)
Hobby Hero Runner-Up
Best Opponent: Sportsmanship Award. (voted on by league players)
Best Opponent Runner-Up
Rookie of the Year: Best placing player participating in their first league.
Emperor's Mercy: Raffle Prize, 1 Loss = 1 Raffle Ticket
