Meet the Grognards

"We are truly a family here at Grognard Games. Howie and I grew up in Northern Illinois and I’ve lived in the Chicagoland area for over 20 years.

Adrian and Morgan are originally from Utah, but have lived in the Chicagoland area for many years now.

This is our home. We care about, and are part of, the local community.

This is our only store (for now) and we are each personally 100% committed to, and invested in making this store a success!"

"My love affair with games started at the tender age of five watching my father and grandfather play chess. I guess that is why I have always equated playing games with spending time with friends and family.

Opening up Grognard Games is the realization of a lifelong desire to share my love of games with others who understand the lifelong connections you can make around a gaming table.

You can find me at the store fiddling with my latest MTG deck!

"I’ve been playing games longer than some of the other Grognards have been alive!

I most enjoy the old school games and remember fondly my days of playing board games with only cardboard chits and a couple of dice.

These days I spend more time assembling and painting models than I do actually playing games.

I would love to paint some models and chat about the good-old days with you at the store.!"

"I'm Morgan, Adrian's favorite oldest twin daughter! I'm super excited to learn all the games you guys play.

I mostly play Magic, Dungeons and Dragons, and just getting into Age Of Sigmar. I would love to play a game with you!"

He is the man, the myth, the legend.

He is Ian.
