Grognard Games Roselle - Warhammer: The Old World Rumble
New Year, Old World!
This will be a 2,000 point tournament. Check in is at 10:30 and games start at 11. There will be three rounds. Each round will last for 2 hours and 30 minutes. There will be a 1 hour break between game 1 and game 2.
Point limit: 2,000
This will be run using the scenarios in the Matched Play Guide with a small narrative rules twist. Exact rules will be published on the Grognard’s Discord and Best Coast Parings Page in advance of the tournament.
Round One: Upon the Field of Glory (Baggage Train, Domination)
Round Two: Close Quarters (Domination, Strategic Locations 2)
Round Three: King of the Hill (Strategic Locations 2, Special Feature)
All armies (including the “legacy” armies such as Orges, Lizardmen, Skavens etc.) are playable, and will use their latest rules including all updated errata, FAQ, and updates.
We WILL be using the Renegade rules pack for the legacy factions.
This tournament will use BOTH the Grand Melee and Combined Arms list building rules from the Matched Play Guide. The rules are as follows:
No single character can be more than 500 points
You may only have one level 4 wizard
You may only have two level 3 wizards
No single character can be taken more than 3 times (i.e. only 3 aspiring champions per list)
No core unit can be taken more than 4 times (i.e. only 4 units of state troops per list)
No special unit can be taken more than 3 times (i.e. only 3 great cannons per list)
No rare unit can be taken more than 2 times (i.e. only 2 hellblasters per list)
Note that this means that units that can be taken in other slots due to character special rules (such as black orcs as a core choice) or as character mounts (such as chariots), do count towards that limit. To continue the above example, even if one unit of black orcs is taken as a core choice, you can still only have 3 units of black orcs in your army.
Also note that the above rules are in addition to your standard list building limits (for example you can only have 2 units of veteran state troops in a 2,000 point army even though they are core as they are limited to 1 unit per 1,000 points.
No painting requirements, but fully painted armies are encouraged and a raffle will be held for those who bring a fully painted one!
Prizes for:

1st, 2nd, 3rd place
Best painted model
