Tournament Format & Rules
Rule Set: We will be utilizing the official AdeptiCon Grand Tournament Rule Comp and Missions.
Army Selection:
-
All Armies Legal: Core factions and "Legacy" armies (Ogres, Lizardmen, Skaven, Chaos Dwarfs, etc.) are fully playable.
-
Renegade Rules: To ensure this event mimics the GT experience, the Square-based Renegade Rules will NOT be in use for this tournament. (We will return to using them for future local events!)
List Building Restrictions: This event uses BOTH the Grand Melee and Combined Arms list building rules from the Matched Play Guide. Please observe the following restrictions:
-
Character Cost: No single character can be more than 500 points.
-
Wizard Limits: You may include a maximum of ONE Level 4 Wizard and TWO Level 3 Wizards.
-
Character Duplicates: No single character choice can be taken more than 3 times (e.g., max 3 Aspiring Champions).
-
Core Duplicates: No Core unit can be taken more than 4 times (e.g., max 4 units of State Troops).
-
Special Duplicates: No Special unit can be taken more than 3 times (e.g., max 3 Great Cannons).
-
Rare Duplicates: No Rare unit can be taken more than 2 times (e.g., max 2 Hellblasters).
-
Note on FAQ: As per the latest FAQ, these limits apply in addition to limits already present in your Army List (e.g., an army with a native 0-3 Cannon limit per 1k points can still take 6 cannons total at 2000pts, provided it doesn't violate the specific event restrictions).
